Spurs are looking to buy Van Nistelrooy from Real Madrid, next transfer season on January 2010. Harry Redknapp seems not happy with his current strikers. But of course, he will need to send some players. Maybe, Robbie Keane or Roman Pavlyuchkeno. Tottenham manager, Harry Redknapp said “He’s a top player, if he’s anywhere near fit I’m sure he can still play for a while. He would come over here and score, he was always has done.”

“Tottenham is a big club – we shouldn’t be afraid to compete with these clubs in the transfer market. But what would I do? I have Crouch, Keane and Defoe and Pav. If I got Van Nistelrooy, I give myself another problem.”

Tottenham also are interested to buy Ryan Babel from Liverpool and West Ham experinced defender Matthew Upson on January transfer window.

Congrats to Estudiantes, they were leading almost all the match as Xavi said on his report after match. Xavi said “They contained us very well for the first half, but then that great goal from Pedro arrived and changed everything.”

After winning Champions League, Spanish league, Copa del Rey, Spanish Supercup and European Supercup this year, Barcelona lifted sixth cup in 2009.

ROGER Craddock says the spirit of the league in which Old Reigatians play has kept him going after celebrating more than 50 years competing for the club.

roger-craddock

The club put on a special game for the 70-year-old last Sunday against Old Suttonians.

Craddock was joined by his brother Peter, 65, and his son Steve, who captains the club’s first team, in the match, after grandson Jamie Prentice performed a ceremonial kick-off.

Craddock said: “It was a fantastic day. I was really quite gobsmacked by it all because, yes, I have been around a fair amount of time but it coincided with my 70th birthday a couple of days before.

“The club really did me proud.

“They say football’s in your blood and I suppose I’m almost living proof of that.”

He still runs the sixth team, only playing if they are short or as a substitute because of injury.

He played regularly up until he was 60 in a career that started when, living in Brockham, he was invited by some fellow old Reigate Grammar School pupils to play.

He first played against Clapham Old Exhavians at Norbury in the third team in September 1957, of which he said: “I can’t remember whether we won 3-1 or lost 3-1.”

The league’s name has changed from the Old Boys League to the Amateur Football Combination, but much remains the same.

He said: “Their ethos is the spirit of football, fun and friendship and the nature of the players and the league hasn’t changed one iota. That’s what keeps me going as much as anything.”

In 1966-67 the first team won the Surrey AFA Junior Cup. “I was captain that day and that was probably my proudest moment, we beat Carshalton 3-1 at Kingswood.”

The first team won the league once during his time with them, the thirds were runners up once and the fifth team finished second two years running, starting in 1993-94. A committee member from 1962 until now, the father of four has held many positions at the club.

He was eager to thank club vice-chairman Dave Setters for being the “mastermind” behind last weekend’s celebration game.

Argentina

Diego Maradona will be looking for his side to rise to the occasion as he prepares for his biggest test as Argentina manager.

Argentina are in desperate need of a result considering they sit fourth in the table for South American World Cup Qualifications.

The match has been moved to a more intimate surrounding in Rosario as Maradona will be looking to involve the passionate Argentinian fans.

Nicolas Burdisso will miss the match through injury, while Newcastle defender Fabricio Coloccini has been called up and could figure in his place.

Barcelona striker Lionel Messi will be a key player for Argentina’s attack and Maradona will have the luxury of choosing between Diego Milito, Sergio Kun Aguero and Carlos Tevez to join him in attack. Veteran Martin Palermo has also been called up by Maradona but is unlikely to start.

Juan Sebastian Veron has recently announced he will retire from international football following the 2010 World Cup and will be itching to have an impact against Brazil.

Brazil

Dunga’s men will enter the match in a much more comfortable position as Brazil sit top of the table in World Cup Qualifications for South America.

Brazil have so far dominated proceedings as their +19 goal difference (25-6) indicates. Dunga’s side have lost only one of the first fourteen matches in qualifying, having won seven and drawn six.

Adriano has been recalled for the match and the big striker will look to use his muscle to cause havoc to the Argentina defence.

Kleberson will miss the match through a shoulder injury, but Real Madrid new boy Kaká will enter the match with his confidence at its peak.

Prediction

Argentina’s home support will serve as a major advantage coming into the match, although Brazil will have the comfort of playing a relaxed game due to their position in the table. The latter could prove a deciding factor if Argentina are unable to jump on top of their opponents early.

Historically, there isn’t much to choose between the sides as Brazil have beaten Argentina 35 times, while Argentina have won 34. Should Maradona succeed in levelling things up at 35 a piece, Argentina would ease their worries of having to qualify by way of a playoff.

Argentina were successful in holding Brazil to 0-0 in the first match between the sides in Brazil, but Maradona will know that one point is less than adequate.

Lionel Messi, arguably the best player in the world, will have to show his worth in the match as his country will be relying on him.

Expect an entertaining affair in what is easily the match of the weekend!

The speculation can finally come an end. From tomorrow the Xbox 360 Elite 120GB will cost £199.99 in the UK – that’s a drop of £30 from the current RRP.

And as expected, the price of the Xbox 360 Arcade has increased by the same amount to £159.99, though Microsoft has not yet clarified whether the machine will come with any additional extras.

The Xbox 360 Pro SKU is to be phased out. In North America, the Pro is to be discounted by $50 to $250 for as long as stocks last.

Both price changes come into force from tomorrow (Friday August 28th) – a move that will see the reduced price Elite given a bank holiday weekend head-start ahead of the launch of PS3 Slim next Tuesday.

In North America the Elite has dropped to $299 whilst the Arcade price has remained static.

In the past this act would get very cumbersome, that all changed the day the Logitech Performance MX landed on my desk. The Hyper-fast scrolling feature allows me to reach from one end of my code to the other with a single flick of the wheel.

The
Logitech
Performance MX mouse also comes equipped with Darkfield Laser Tracking technology that allows it to work on just about any surface. Having a glass desk I found this most intriguing and was surprised at just how well
Logitech delivers on this feature. Having spent time using it in both a work environment and gaming sessions I can’t tell a difference when using it on a mouse pad or the glass surface directly.

This mouse also ships with Logitech’s Unifying receiver, a USB receiver that allows multiple
Logitech devices to be connected. This receiver is meant to be added and forgotten, which is not too hard given the small size and profile of the device.

In case all the above wasn’t enough the mouse features a rechargeable power system that is managed via a micro-USB cable to either your computer or a wall outlet. Unlike most rechargeable usb mice the
Logitech
Performance MX can be used even while charging. Having the option to charge it via a wall outlet while still being able to it makes the
Performance MX an ideal companion for use with a laptop on the go.

After over a week of extensive use I believe I’ve found a new favorite mouse in the
Logitech
Performance MX. It packs a lot of functionality and innovation into contoured design and while the $99.99 MSRP price tag may seem steep at first a quick look back over the features, in addition to the cost of batteries saved, makes for a mouse that’s worth every cent.
